Who doesn’t love walking in the woods? Walking the trail at Hillsborough River State Park was always a great trip. Located just outside of Tampa, it was a fairly short drive. One day along the trails, I came across this fallen tree. Since I was shooting bracketed images for HDR in those days, I always had my camera on a tripod.
Bringing out the details in the tree and the surrounding scrub palms creates a fantasy‑like image for me. My post‑processing back then was more about pushing the limits and less about the reality of the scene.
