In post-processing, I chose to remove color to strip away visual distraction and draw attention to the atmosphere of the scene. The image emphasizes the contrast between darkness and illumination—the glow of neon signage, the rhythm of passing figures, and the movement of people through the night toward the restaurants and storefronts. The monochrome treatment was intended to heighten the cinematic, noir-like mood that defined my experience of Fisherman’s Wharf after dark.
