Sand and Haze

Throwback Photo 2014, Burning Sands

Heading off to the beach during the day was not my ideal shooting conditions, usually way to bright to shoot the style of photography i like. But a sand sculpture display (Sanding Ovations) on Treasure Island had me packing up my camera to see what I could get.

We went pretty early in the morning, to avoid the crowds, and were met by a thick morning fog. This wasnt as unusal as you you think, but it ended up producing conditions that i beleive led to some pretty cool picutres, this being one of them.

It at the time reminded me of photos I saw coming out of the Burning Man event held in the desert.

Plus we got to see some cool sand sculptures that morning!

Throwback Photo 2014, Showy Egret

Visitng Fort De Soto was one of my favorite things to do while living in the Gulf coast of florida.

Form sunsets to sunny days, whether or not you got a keeper was irrelavent as you were at the beach right?

There are two piers, the gulf and the bay, this is a photo captures one sunny day of a snowy egret pearch on a concrete pillar, with the bait shop / snack bar in the background, two tourist making the same observation I was, admiring this white plumed beauty of a bird!
