Morning on the Gulf Pier

Landscape in HDR 2013, Gulf Pier

Fort De Soto was one of my favorite places to visit regularly while living in St. Pete. The Gulf Fishing Pier was a spot where I spent countless hours with a line in the water before picking up a new hobby in photography.

Post‑processing in HDR became part of that journey—shooting bracketed images, bringing them home, and opening Photomatix to go tone‑map crazy.

As out‑of‑date as this style of post‑processing may be now, it’s still part of my photography heritage.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the experience of shooting HDR, thinking about scenes conceptually, and bending reality.
