About Me

Greg Urbano Photographer

I’m Greg Urbano, a generalist photographer currently based in Northern Colorado. Photography has been part of my life for more than 15 years—not as a career, but as a personal practice rooted in curiosity, observation, and learning.

I’ve never been drawn to working within a single genre. Instead, my work reflects the way I move through the world: photographing landscapes and cityscapes, people and still lifes, night scenes and carefully constructed tabletop images. Over the years, I’ve lived and worked in different places, including Florida and Colorado, and those environments have shaped both what I photograph and how I approach the medium.

Photography, for me, is a way of paying attention. Some images are found while wandering; others are built slowly with intention and controlled light. I’m equally interested in exploration and technique—learning how light behaves, how small choices change an image, and how patience often matters more than speed.

This site is home to The Top 100 Journey, a long-term project that brings together a curated selection of images created across different phases of my life. The photographs here weren’t chosen because they’re flawless or commercially successful. They were chosen because each one represents a moment of growth, discovery, or clarity along the way.

I don’t photograph to meet a brief or an algorithm. I photograph because the process itself matters. This work is a record of how my way of seeing has changed over time—and continues to evolve.

Thanks for being here and taking the time to look.
