Emre Can Agree To Juventus This Summer?
Emre Can has reportedly agreed a deal to join Juventus this summer. But Liverpool have not been willing to take it off.
The German player has been the target of the defending champions Serie A to help strengthen the midfield. Nemanja Matic owned by Chelsea is also targeted by Max Allegri, but it seems progress has been made in the discussion to get Can.
Jurgen Klopp may not be able to guarantee the 23-year-old player to get a place in his core team next season. With captain Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum more likely to be the top choice in midfield.
However, with Champions League football returning to Anfield and a busy schedule awaiting them next season, Liverpool are reluctant to lose Can. The Reds still want to tie him with a new contract, because his current contract will now expire in 2018.
But according to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Can has now agreed to personal terms with Juventus to leave for Turin. With the former Bayern Munich player seemingly keen on moving to Turin, Juventus now have to reach an agreement with Liverpool.
The Italian club is ready to make an official offer this week. And Tuttosport added that the offer is expected to be worth between 27 million pounds to 31.5 million pounds.
With such an offer, it is still unknown whether Liverpool will give up the young player to leave Anfield. So far, Klopp has brought in winger Mohamed Salah from Roma, young striker Dominic Solanke and left-back Andrew Robertson to his squad.
But recently also came a report that says that Liverpool are ready poured funds of 74.5 million pounds to get RB Leipzig star, Naby Keita. Keita’s presence is believed to fill the void left in the midfield if Can go.
Naby Keita is a very important player in the performance of RB Leipzig in Bundesliga competition last season. His ability to raise the team’s game from midfield attracted the attention of major European clubs. And Liverpool is considered the most likely team to get it. (Source: Express, Tuttosport)
