OFFICIAL: Huddersfield Town Boyong Scott Malone Malone became the club’s eighth Premier League promotion after being redeemed from Fulham.
Premier League promotion club, Huddersfield Town, inaugurated Scott Maloney as his eighth recruit after redeeming him from Fulham this summer.
The player who plays as a left back was redeemed at a number that was not named at the request of The Cottagers, with the 26-year-old accepting three-year contracts with another year’s extension option.
Scott was the player in the EFL and PFA Championship Best Team last season, and his arrival at Kirklees Stadium was warmly welcomed by manager David Wagner.
“I am happy to welcome Scott to Huddersfield Town,” Wagner told the club’s official website. “Our fans have seen his ability in our game against Fulham last season, and he showed his quality and I know his ability is very fitting with our playing style.
“Scott has a good posture and a very reliable defender, plus he’s happy to come forward. He showed cleverness in playing while attacking and could provide assists for his teammates or score goals.
“We previously had a very good left back for Chris Lowe and young talent at Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, but as we enter the first year of the Premier League it is important to have internal competition and the ability to rotate, as we did last season . ”
Prior to Scott, Huddersfield had brought in Laurent Depoitre, Aaron Mooy, Joans Lossl, Tom Ince, Kasey Palmer, Danny Williams and Steve Mounie.
